Who We Are
Green Acres is an outdoor education facility featuring a composite farm, working in cooperation with the Boards of Education, offering a wide variety of learning opportunities for young people. We are chartered as a non-profit organization and are a smoke free environment.

What We Offer
Our programmes are designed to challenge and enrich participants. A healthy balance between academic pursuits and recreational endeavours has been created. Our Farm and Outdoor Education Instructors are trained to work with a variety of age groups to deliver grade appropriate activities. The programmes are designed to complement the curriculum and ensure a positive educational experience.

Who Can Attend?
Programmes are available for students in Junior Kindergarten through to Grade 8, as well as pre-school children and special needs groups.

When Are The Programmes Available?
Our programmes run between 10:00 and 2:00, Monday through Friday throughout the school year.

Programmes continue in all types of weather. Participants must be appropriately dressed for the weather.

Where Is Green Acres?
Our facility is on the east side of Kennedy Road, about three kilometres north of Major MacKenzie Road.
