What is a Typical Day at Green Acres?
(times are approximate, depending on your schedule and programme choice)
9:45 am Arrive at Green Acres
10:00 am Morning Session until 11:30 am
11:30 am Lunch Break until 12:30 pm
(supervision responsibility of your party)
12:30 pm Afternoon sessions until 2:00 pm
2:15 pm Bus leaves Green Acres

Lunch Procedures

• Enjoy your own bag lunch in one of our indoor facilities.
• Adults are encouraged to bring their thermos of coffee or tea, as there is NO SNACK BAR on site.

A lunch area is an available option for half day groups if you wish to stay on site. There is a service fee for half day groups who choose to book this option. Full day groups are automatically allocated a lunch area at no extra fee.

Recreational Facilities
Our facility spans 70 acres of country close to the city. Pavillion style recreation halls, lots of picnic table areas, flush toilets (porta-potties mid October thru mid April) and hand wash stations are available to all our visitors. You will find a small secluded woodlot with nature trails to the back of the site, and concentrated at the front of the property is a composite farm, numerous sports fields including volleyball, soccer, baseball, field hockey, tetherball, basketball and three adventure playgrounds.

Heated buildings for cold days are available and lunch areas are provided as part of your programme or by request. A barbeque shack and fire pit are also available for cooking and campfires, depending on your programme schedule. Picnic tables, parking and sun shelters are plentiful throughout the grounds.

Next door, a 45 acre riding stable, Cedar Creek, complements our site and is available for boarding, part boarding, lessons, camp and birthday parties.

Fee Guide

Please note:

• One adult, teacher, parent, is admitted free for each 8 paid students of any age. Additional adult fee is $4.00 per adult.
• All programmes, other than Leadership Courses, have a minimum fee equivalent to 20 participants.
• You may book a lunch area with a half day programme. (The minimum lunch area fee is $25.00).
• Fees shown are on a per student basis.
• Full payment is due upon arrival at Green Acres
• Maximum number of participants will vary according to age and/or programme booked.
• Prices are subject to change without notice.

Cancellation policy
Our cancellation policy is 50% of the total due for the original number of participants booked, unless notification of cancellation is received in writing, by the Outdoor Education office at least 21 days prior to the date booked.

Changes in the Number of Participants Booked:

• If you find it necessary to change the number of participants on your reserved day by more than 10, please call at least 21 days prior to your date booked.
• In the event that notice is not given, a fee of 50% of the difference between the original number booked and the lesser number participating will be charged. (Leadership Centre - see below)
• A request to increase the number booked is subject to approval by our office.
• A request to change the programme booked is also subject to approval at least 14 days in advance of your trip.

The Leadership Challenge Centre is subject to the following:
Minimum fee is equal to 15 participants. Cancellation fee applies when the change in the actual number of participants is 5 or more participants less than the number originally booked and confirmed.
